SCHEDULING POLICIES
Rescheduling a Lesson
Change of plans? No problem. Lessons may be rescheduled online up to 12 hours in advance for any reason—whether your child is under the weather, you have a special event, or life just happens.
Within 12 hours: Please message me directly, as online cancellation will be unavailable.
Lessons canceled within 12 hours are not eligible for a refund or makeup, unless due to unsafe weather or instructor cancellation.
Standing Lesson Reservations
A Standing Lesson Reservation is your reserved weekly lesson time that repeats each week for the duration of your subscription or package (not available for single-lesson bookings).
You may change your standing lesson reservation schedule online at any time, based on availability
I’ll ensure your reserved time remains available for you to rebook, even though Acuity will only show availability within your current plan term
If you’re a subscription holder, you must rebook your standing reservation online every 4 weeks when your subscription renews
If you’re a package holder, you can keep your spot by renewing with a new package once your current term finishes
Standing lesson reservations may be removed at Melina’s discretion if excessive absences occur
Makeup Sessions
Makeup sessions are a flexible way to stay consistent when something comes up. You may schedule a makeup at any time, as long as your subscription or package remains active.
Held outside of your standing reservation.
May be scheduled at a different pool if availability is limited.
Credits automatically roll over with your next plan—no need to use them within a specific timeframe, as long as your plan stays active.
Vacation Holds and Missed Lessons
If you'd like to keep your standing lesson reservation while you're away, you must maintain an active subscription or package through the end of your vacation.
If you plan to take a personal break and do not intend to resume lessons afterward, please use any remaining lesson credits before your plan ends, following the standard makeup policy.

Refunds
I want every family to feel confident and happy with their swim lesson experience. If you're ever unsatisfied with your first lesson, please let me know—I’ll gladly offer a full refund for that session.
Refunds are only issued for:
Instructor cancellations.
Unsafe weather conditions that result in canceled lessons.
Please note: Refunds apply only to individual lessons and cannot be issued retroactively for completed packages or subscription terms. If you're enrolled in a package or subscription and have concerns, please reach out—I’m always happy to work with you to find a solution.
Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 2–7 business days.
Weather-Related Cancellations
Lessons may be canceled due to unsafe weather, including:
Winds over 15 mph
Temperatures below 55°F
Rain, lightning, or poor air quality
Note: Fall and winter lessons may not be ideal for children under age 4 or those who are not swimming independently. Families who enroll in fall, winter, or spring lessons understand that cooler temperatures may occur, and that lessons will continue as long as conditions remain safe and manageable.
